Meet Mr. Cyrus ~ a dog Bully Breed Rescue picked up from the side of the road Friday night. Tossed aside like trash, this poor dog couldn’t even walk. They picked him up and rushed him to the emergency vet for immediate evaluation and care. Estimated to be between 2-4 years old, he weighs a mere 36lbs and on a body scale of 1-9 (1 being the lowest), he’s been rated a 1.
On Saturday afternoon Cyrus was moved to their primary vet hospital, Rippowam Animal Hospital where he is comfortably resting with IV fluids since he just started eating and drinking yesterday (he was severely dehydrated and wouldn’t eat for the first 24 hours).
Right now things aren’t looking too great for this sweet boy. His liver/kidney levels are extremely elevated, along with his calcium levels, indicating cancer. They have found some tumors and will have a more thorough update tomorrow after meeting with our veterinarian. Thank you to those who donated to help already!
