Ales for Tails is a beer festival where 100% of proceeds go to support Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland

Jeana Roth is the community engagement director of Animal Refuge League, an organization that saves the lives of over 4,000 animals every year! Along with the amazing work they do with animals, they also use pets to help educate over 4,000 kids in the community on compassion and kindness. Research shows that children who are taught how to care for and respect a pet will grow up to repeat those things in their community when they are older. This organization does BIG work! They are also doing FUN events too!

The Third Annual Ales for Tails event is being put on by Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland on September 30th from 2-5pm at Thompson’s Point. With the incredible craft beer coming out of Maine, no wonder there are so many beer festivals and events! This event is a dog friendly event and goes to support the pets that need homes, so it is a great choice if you are looking for a beer festival in the area.

Dogs are welcome, so expect to have dog snuggles and slobbers throughout the event. Dogs are also the perfect catalyst for making new friends, so let the furry ones lead the way and break the ice for you in making some new friends.

  • Fun

There will be additional lawn games, corn hole boards and more!

What Dog Owners Need to Know:

  • Bring a leash!
  • Clean up after your dog
  • Know your pup. If your dog does not do well in crowded environments with other people and dogs, this is not the event for them. They (and you) will likely have a better time if those pups stay at home.

Where does the money go?

All proceeds will go to aid Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland, a life-saving organization.
