If your dog loves their toys a little too hard, and by that, we mean ripping them into a million shreds, this post is for you. How many times do you need to purchase the same toy or buy one that seems to be durable, yet again, all over the living room floor! We’ve been there. We know. That’s why we compiled a few do-it-yourself dog toys that are easy to make and cheaper for you.

Fun and yummy for your pup…

What you’ll need:

  • 3 ft. of jute rope
  • 3-4 yams
  • Cookie sheet
  • Foil
  • Scissors
  • Round cookie cutter (optional)

How-to:

Start by preheating your oven to 250 degrees. Rinse sweet potatoes in cold water then slice them into rounds of about 1-1/2 inches thick. Next, get rid of the center of the potato round with knife or cookie cutter. Put rounds on the cookie sheet and set a timer for 2 hours and 30 minutes. Flip and repeat time. Once they are totally dry, leave them to cool.

Now, make a knot at the end of your rope. Start stringing the yam rings tying a knot between 1-2 rings until you’ve reached the end and voila!
